Jun 23, 2008 · Soekris is discontinuing the older models, the new faster 5501 is very well supported by OpenBSD 4.3. It's actually overkill for a home firewall. KD85 is definitely the way to go if you're in Europe, or want a rackmount chassis, burn-in, and support.
